The “pala-pala” (Quichua, raven) put its eye on a dove and decides this dove to be its victim for harassment. What at first might seem a courtship chase "in love" to the female, is ending in her being sacrificed. After killing the dove, the pala-pala opens the chest of the victim to extract and devour its heart and the rest of its bowels.
Inspired by this natural drama R.E.A d a n z a has created for outdoor spaces and facades of buildings, an aerial dance show which portrays the atavistic struggle for survival through the domination of another. Natural selection, as the foundation and engine of the evolution of the living world, but also the violence exerted on the weak through a power that seeks to perpetuate beyond what is humanly reasonable...are the inevitable but necessary course of life..?
